Answer to Question 1

If she is not eating because she does not have the desire to live, spend additional time with her to make her value her self-worth. Including her in the planning of her nursing care will make her feel more valuable, and as a contributing member of society. Encourage visits with her family. Encourage her to take day trips with her family. Let her plan her meals and accommodate her likes and dislikes. Serve her appealing foods. Include her family in her care planning.
