(1) Diet - Reduce consumption of salt-cured, smoked, nitrite-cured, and high-fat foods. Increase consumption of
foods containing antioxidants (e.g., vitamins A, E, and .C
and fiber. (2) Alcohol - Reduce consumption of alcohol. (3) Tobacco - Do not smoke or use chewing tobacco. If you
currently use tobacco, stop smoking or chewing. Limit your exposure to secondhand smoke whenever possible. (4)
Physical inactivity - Exercise regularly. Regular exercise is linked to reduced cancer risk. (5) Ultraviolet light - Limit
sun exposure, and do not use tanning salons. Use sunscreen of at least SPF 15 to reduce your ultraviolet exposure.

Substitutions:
  Breakfast: Have a bowl of instant oatmeal with apples or cereal with fresh fruit instead of a Breakfast
Burrito at a fast-food place
  Lunch: Have a cup of vegetable soup instead of a cheeseburger
  Dinner: Start dinner with a green salad
  Snack: Choose a cup of chopped fruit instead of a bag of chips at the Student Union
Strategies:
  Start practicing Meatless Mondays
  Go vegetarian for a week
  Choose to experiment with a different vegetable every weekday
  Try 3 new fruits or vegetables every week.
  Shop at the farmer's market on Saturday
