Establishing long-term and short-term goals is an important part of an exercise program. Goals serve as motivation
to start an exercise program. Attaining tness goals improves self-esteem and provides the incentive needed to
make a lifetime commitment to regular exercise.

Answers will vary, but could include at least 3 of the following
What are the 3 most important reasons I decided to commit to this plan?
On days I don't feel like doing this, what can I do that's at least better than doing nothing at all?
Tell a friend or family member about my tness/wellness plan. Talk with them about how they can best help me or
encourage me when I don't feel like following the plan.
What cues do I have that my life is out of balance, and I'm at risk of not following my plan of action? (And what
steps can I take to get it back in balance?
