Research suggests that a range of 10-20 body fat is an optimal health and tness goal for men; the optimal range
for women is 15-25. These ranges in body fat provide little risk of disease associated with body fatness and permit
individual differences in physical activity patterns and diet. Body fat levels above the optimal range are associated
with an increased risk of disease and are therefore undesirable.
