Answer to Question 1

Contractrelax (CR) and contractrelax/antagonist contract (CRAC) are the two common types of PNF stretching.
In the contract-relax (CR) stretch technique, you rst contract the muscle to be stretched, then relax it. After you
relax the muscle, you slowly stretch it. The CRAC method calls for the same contractrelax routine but then you
contract the antagonist muscle, which is the muscle on the opposite side of the joint. The purpose of contracting the
antagonist muscle is to promote a reex relaxation of the muscle to be stretched.

Answer to Question 2

Posture is the position of your joints that you hold while standing or sitting.
The list of benets should include at least 5 of the following
- Minimizes abnormal wear on joint surfaces that could result in arthritis.
- Reduces stress on the ligaments holding the joints of the spine together.
- Prevents the spine from becoming xed in abnormal positions, thereby preventing nerve stress and associated
pains.
- Prevents fatigue because muscles are being used more efciently.
- Prevents strain or overuse problems.
- Prevents backache and muscular pain.
- Contributes to a good appearance.

This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
