Answer to Question 1

b

Answer to Question 2

The first step that a parent can take is to avoid introducing their children to salty foods early on. People develop a preference for salty foods if they eat them from a young age.

A parent can pack fruit that has little or no salt as a quick delicious snack. They can also give their children vegetables and try other spices that can add flavor without salt.

Parents need to read product labels that state low sodium carefully because these products may contain unnecessary added sugars.

Other answers are possible as well.
