Answer to Question 1

Provisions include:
Creating an environment (physically, psychologically, and socially) that supports learning, such as geographically convenient location; easy-to-locate classroom or meeting room; furniture of appropriate size; adequate heat and light; friendly, respectful instructor; appropriate location for topic being presented to audience; opportunities for learners to get to know each other are provided; and guidelines and procedures allow all learners equal opportunity to participate in learning.
Preparing the adult learners for the learning episode through the assessment of their learning needs, interests, and prior knowledge, and encouraging learner participation in establishing goals and content of the learning experience.
Providing instruction that encourages learner interaction, emphasizes material that learners perceive as relevant, uses repetition and plan time for learner practice, uses a variety of teaching methods, uses instructional resources that fit learners' needs, plans audio-visuals that all can see and easily interpret, and provides frequent feedback.

Answer to Question 2

A consumer-directed health plan combines a high-deductible health plan with a tax-advantaged health reimbursement arrangement or health savings account that enrollees use to pay for a portion of their health expenses. Due to the high deductibles, the premiums are typically low. Proponents of these plans contend that enrollees seek lower-cost healthcare services and only seek care when necessary. Critics contend that only healthier individuals are attracted to these plans. In addition, employers may use these plans to shift the cost of coverage to employees.
