 8 million are children.
 More than half are in families with incomes below 200 of the poverty guidelines.
 They include the self-employed, those who work part-time, seasonal workers, the unemployed, full-time workers whose employers offer unaffordable insurance or none at all, and early retirees aged 55-64 who retired from companies that either offered no health insurance or have since dropped it.
