A person can only live for 3 to 4 days without water because the body does not store it nor does it produce much of it. In addition, water is continually lost via perspiration, urine, and feces. Water is necessary to keep your metabolism working properly, and without it, blood pressure can fall to dangerously low levels, blood clots may form, and the kidneys cannot function adequately.
