Answer to Question 1

Because this experiment calls for an approximate volume of solvent, eyeballing with a Pasteur pipette (c) would be suitable.

Answer to Question 2

The most accurate method for measuring a liquid is to weigh it (answer b). It is necessary to know the density when the amount of liquid is given as a volume. Most graduated cylinders are graduated to 0.2 mL increments and therefore, if accuracy is important, method (a) would not be suitable. Eyeballing the volume (c) would be the least accurate method.
