Answer to Question 1

c

Answer to Question 2

Amphetamine promotes reverse transport of monoamine neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine) from axon terminals. This leads to an increase in the action potential induced release and the spontaneous leakage of monoamine neurotransmitters from axon terminals, which in turn leads to increased extracellular levels of monoamines and increased monoamine receptor activity. Amphetamine may also inhibit reuptake of monoamine neurotransmitters, and it mildly inhibits MAO activity intraneuronally.
