Answer to Question 1

In panic disorder without agoraphobia, the person has at least one panic attack and worries about having more. It is not characterized by avoidance but by medical concerns. For example, the person may go to an ER worried about heart problems. Panic disorder with agoraphobia is combined with avoidance of places where escape (when attack occurs) may be difficult or impossible.
