Answer to Question 1

When standing your ground and communicating assertively, use minimally effective responses. Consider the minimal level of assertion that can accomplish your objectives. Then, if this is not effective, gradually escalate from there. Keep your response proportional to the event. There's no need to drive a nail with a sledgehammer. A regular hammer will do just fine and is less likely to splinter the wood you're driving the nail into.

Answer to Question 2

A whole clear message is not contaminated by subtext. It respectfully conveys your observations, thoughts, feelings, and needs. Whole clear messages use clean communication and are conducive to working through differences and getting your needs met.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
