Answer to Question 1

These are two types of food additives. Accidental additives come from packaging, processing, etc. They are not meant to be put in the food and were not put there intentionally. Intentional additives are, as the name suggests, put into food for a purpose, such as improving the color, flavor, texture, or nutritional value of a food.
