Answer to Question 1

Give other people confirmation or validation by acknowledging their presence and indicating acceptance of them and their ideas.
 Do not exclude others or resort to in-group talk.
 Avoid talking about themselves too much, do not monologue, and try to listen as much as they talk.
 Avoid both excessive criticism and undeserved praise in favor of honest appraisals given in a gentle manner.
 Use language that neither offends nor demeans other people.
