Answer to Question 1

B
The AGS states that group exercises can be effective to improve balance as part of a fall preven-tion program for older adults. Using an assistive device can help prevent falls; however, assistive devices are not part of an exercise program. Although the AGS states that the relationship be-tween exercise and reducing the risk for falls is strong, the recommended type, duration, and in-tensity of the exercises are not clear. The AGS states that to improve balance with exercise, an older adult must participate in exercise for at least 10 weeks.
