2) Expose yourself to bright light in the morning and avoid it at night
3) Exercise regularly
4) Establish a relaxing bedtime routine
5) Create a cool, comfortable sleeping environment that is free of distractions
6) Unplug Dim the lights and clear out electronics
7) Treat your bed as a sanctuary form the stresses of the day
8) Keep a worry book next to your bed
9) Avoid caffeinated beverages, chocolate and tobacco at night
10) Avoid large meals and beverages right before bedtime
11) No nightcaps Avoid drinking alcohol before bed
12) Avoid medication that delays or disrupts sleep
13) Avoid late-afternoon or evening naps
