Answer: Any three of the following:
 Substance abuse increases the risk of many types of unintentional injuries. Alcohol is a factor in 60 of fatal burn injuries and drownings and 40 of fatal motor vehicle accidents and falls.
 Risky behaviors, such as drag racing or heavy alcohol consumption
 Male gender, since males account for almost 2/3 of the deaths attributed to unintentional injuries
 Young age, since people between the ages of 15 and 29 account for the largest proportion of overall injury deaths
 Environmental factors, such as poor weather and increased traffic volume
 Divided attention, since performing any potentially dangerous activity without sufficient focus increases the risk of injury

 Stay within speed limits.
 Slow down when weather is bad.
