Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Veal is among the beef choices of the American consumer. It is meat from a calf that weighs about 150 pounds. Baby beef, beef from young cattle weighing about 700 pounds, has been raised mainly on milk and grass. Grain fed is a third American option for beef. It is the kind sold most often in the grocery store. There is growing demand for the fourth option: grass-fed beef. A fifth option for beef in the United States is natural beef. This beef is from animals never given growth promotants, antibiotics, or animal by-products. A sixth and final beef option is certified organic beef. As its name suggests, it comes from animals fed certified organic feed.

Many people have small pouches in their colons that bulge outward through weak spots. Each pouch is called a diverticulum. The main cause of diverticular disease is a low-fiber diet.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
