  (1) a non-carbohydrate substance responsible for the woody texture of some foods, (2) a porphyrin ring with four pyrrole groups and a molecule of Mg in the center of the molecule, (3) a triglyceride with a glycerol molecule and three fatty acids esterified to it, (4) either a phospholipid or cholesterol, (5) the building blocks for lipids.
