Dining traditions in Morocco include low tables, no silverware, and little conversation. Men may eat prior to women and children. Food is eaten from communal bowls after hand-washing with either regular or rose water, and a green tea beverage is traditional. French dining includes haute cuisine, wine, silverware, and a level of conversation/recreation associated with many food courses.
