Carafate is 4x/d = 4.00 and Axid is recommended at 2x/d = 2.00 . Total = 6.00/d. 30 d/mo x 6 = 180.00/month for just two medications.

Completely inhibits the action of histamine at receptor sites of the parietal cells, decreasing gastric acid secretion; no significant nutritional side effects.
