MK's recall indicates insufficient protein and energy. She stated that she did not like the meat served in the cafeteria. This would explain the anemia with the lack of iron indicating a microcytic anemia.

All vitamins and minerals are questionable, but vitamins A, D, and C, and iron, zinc, and calcium are of special concern. You may want to direct this question to specific vitamins or minerals you emphasize in class.
