Answer to Question 1

d

Answer to Question 2

Though there are guidelines about key macronutrients in foods such as carbohydrates, protein, and fats, various agencies disagree as to whether a particular food meets the daily guidelines for those nutrients. Nutrition facts on a food label can be interpreted two ways: the actual nutrient content of a serving of that food as well as an assessment of how that food's nutrients contribute towards the daily values based on a 2000 or 2500 calorie diet.

Food manufacturers are a powerful group and can also support nutrition research and affiliated agencies.
