Nutrition education focuses on providing patients/clients with information that improves nutrition knowledge and/or helps develop nutrition-related skills, such as label reading or menu planning. Nutrition counseling generally involves more in-depth behavior change strategies. Both nutrition education and nutrition counseling are intended to maintain or improve health.
