Explain the importance of self-efficacy and social support as they relate to the well-being and self-esteem of people migrating to a new country.

If one's self-efficacy increases, then that person increasingly feels like he or she is capable of getting things done. This, combined with suitable social support from people at home and also from peers in the new location, can maintain or increase migrants' self-esteem and thus contribute to an overall sense of well-being in one's new setting.
